In 1977 he started his own business, owning and operating an Insurance and Financial Services agency. Pat continues to love being in the insurance business, due in large part to his rebirth as a 21st century boss and the great people who make up his business team.

Pat is a native of the Pacific Northwest where he continues to enjoy living and writing in his home on the meandering banks of the Willamette River. As one of five children, Pat worked his way through college at Western Washington University. He is the proud father of three adult children, and three grandchildren. On his Wow Days he enjoys many outdoor activities including skiing, biking, gardening, hiking, scuba diving, rowing, golf and sipping Oregon pinot noir on his deck overlooking the river.
